The Yogic Weight Management & Strength Building Program

Lāghavam

लाघवम्

Weight management is not simply about eating less or exercising more. It is about restoring harmony within the body and mind — a 21-day Hatha Yoga journey toward lightness in every part of your being.

Light Body · Clear Mind · Balanced Life

Welcome to Lāghavam

Heaviness is a message, not a verdict

In the yogic tradition, excess weight is often understood as a manifestation of imbalance — physical, mental, emotional or energetic. Stress, poor digestion, emotional eating, lack of movement, disturbed sleep, hormonal imbalance and mental restlessness all contribute to the accumulation of heaviness in the body.

Lāghavam is a holistic Hatha Yoga program designed to help you cultivate lightness — lāghava — in every aspect of your being. Through the timeless wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda, it guides you toward sustainable weight management by strengthening the body, calming the mind, improving digestion, balancing hormones, increasing vitality and creating lifelong healthy habits.

This is not a crash diet.
This is not an intense fitness bootcamp.

This is a journey of self-transformation.

The Word

What does Lāghavam mean?

लाघवम्

According to Ayurveda, when the body is healthy and the digestive fire — Agni — is balanced, one naturally experiences lāghava: a feeling of being energetic, light and free. This course is designed to help you rediscover that natural state.

In yoga, true health is not measured only by body weight. A person may have a lighter body but still carry:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Emotional burden
  • Poor habits
  • Constant self-criticism

Lāghavam helps you release all forms of heaviness — cultivating a stronger body, a calmer mind, better energy, healthier habits, greater self-awareness and a more joyful life.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need previous yoga experience?

No. The program is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.

Is this only for weight loss?

No. While healthy weight management is a key outcome, the program also focuses on improving strength, mobility, mental wellbeing, energy and overall health.

Will I receive dietary guidance?

Yes. The program includes yogic and Ayurvedic principles for conscious eating and digestive health. It is educational in nature and does not replace individualised medical or nutritional advice.

Is this suitable for older adults?

Yes. Practices can be adapted to different ages and fitness levels.

Why does this focus on lightness rather than weight loss?

It’s a deliberate reframing, not just wording. Read Lāghavam: the yogic approach to weight and lightness for why heaviness is treated as a message rather than a verdict, and how that changes what the program actually works on.
