The Meaning of Our Name
Para and Sha — the supreme, and the force that moves it
Parasha is not a name we chose for how it sounds. It carries the two forces every yogic tradition points back to.
“Para” means the highest, the supreme, the absolute — consciousness itself, still and unmoving. “Sha” is Shakti, the force that keeps the world in motion while holding everything together. Together, Parasha carries the union of Shiva and Shakti: stillness and movement, awareness and energy, the changeless and the ever-changing.
परा
Para
The Supreme · Shiva
The absolute, unmoving awareness behind all experience — the ground every practice is ultimately pointing toward.
शा
Sha
Shakti · The Force
The living energy that moves through breath, body and world — the force that makes practice, and life itself, possible.
Everything we teach and build moves between these two — stillness that grounds you, and energy that carries you forward.

02
Retreats & Resets
Structured programs — Antarbodh, our seven-day immersion, and Lāghavam, a 21-day reset — built for people returning to balance from stress and burnout.
03
Ashram Life
Stay, sattvic food, and daily sādhanā at Pushkar Mandir Ashram — living the practice, not just studying it.
04
