Dharna — Ajapa Japa
Vaibhav Parashar | 60 minutes
About This Class
Ajapa Japa is the classical sādhana in which the Soham mantra, the breath and awareness of the psychic passages are woven into one continuous stream. ‘Ajapa’ means unrepeated — the japa that goes on by itself once the practice matures.
Using ujjāyī breath and rotation through the frontal and spinal passages, the practice draws the mind inward with unusual power; the tradition regards it as a complete sādhana in its own right, capable of carrying a practitioner from concentration through to absorption. Builds directly on Soham meditation and breath awareness.
What to Expect
Staged practice — breath and passage awareness first, mantra woven in, then the full rotations taught over the course.
